Buddhist Spirituality

The Buddhist spiritual journey begins with the self. This includes what we hear, see, smell, taste and touch; the activities of our minds; and the process of changing our physical and mental positions. It is having our emotions and observing them at the same time.

Buddhists use a variety of disciplines to prepare themselves for this journey into a state of mind which frees them from pain and suffering. These disciplines include repetitive activities such as motions of the body, and chants. In this manner, Buddhists cultivate their spirituality.

Buddhism is the world's fourth largest religion.

Buddhist Seniors

Buddhists are very charitable and care for those in need including the elderly. The majority of Buddhists are Asian and in Asian cultures, families bring their elderly into their homes. Buddhists in the US and other Western countries provide generously for the elderly by funding homes, assisted living, and hospice.
