Gretchen began her work with older adults as a Social Worker in the early 1970s. Presently, as CEO of ElderThink, she communicates regularly with experts in gerontology and senior living from all over the world. www.ElderThink.com is a blog and knowledge base on aging.
Gretchen developed strong marketing abilities during her career as an entrepreneur. She has acquired or founded and operated companies in computer retailing, steel distribution, environmental testing, and outsourcing. Currently, she is focusing her marketing knowledge and intuition on the issues of aging.
Gretchen is a dynamic and entertaining public speaker. She speaks about marketing to seniors; and why they would give their wealth to a television evangelist but refuse to buy a new pair of shoes.
Currently, she serves as Co-Chair of the Boulder County Aging Advisory Council, is a member of the Vestry of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Longmont, Colorado, and serves on the Board of Longmont Rotary.
Gretchen is an Elder and is married to one. She is between the ages of "60 to 100."
